How To Deactivate Yahoo Mail Account

Yahoo email is an online mailing service provided by Yahoo itself. Yahoo also provides other services for free. As it is free one person can create more than one or 2 accounts. If you are one of them doing the same thing and facing difficulty in handling all the mail accounts then you can simply deactivate one of the least used accounts. To deactivate Yahoo mail account also means deleting or terminating the account.

To deactivate Yahoo mail account, you can follow the steps below:

1. First, you will need to open the Yahoo termination page on your browser. So, open your computer and you need to open your browser and open the search engine. In the search engine, you will need to search for the Yahoo termination page delete page, or just deactivate Yahoo.
2. As you open the Yahoo termination page, you will need to log in to your account if you aren’t signed in already. You will see a login type page if you aren’t logged in, where you will need to log in to your Yahoo mail account that you need to delete. For that start filling the blanks step by step.
3. First, you need to fill in the black with your username or email address. Then you need to click on the “Next” button or simply press the “Enter” key from the keyboard.
4. Then in the next step, you will see another blank where you need to fill in with your login password for that particular account. After filling that, you need to click on the “Next” button or simply press the “Enter” key from the keyboard.
5. As you get signed in to your account on that page, you will get some notice which is long and you should read that. After you finish reading it and if you agree to all the terms and conditions, you can click on the “Continue to delete my account” button. Go to the next step or just cancel if you change your mind not to deactivate your account.
6. Next step as you continue to deactivate your account, your identity will be checked. So you will need to re-enter the email address of your Yahoo account. Then you need to select the “Yes, Terminate this account” button/option.
   This will delete your Yahoo mail account permanently. But you can re-activate your account 40 days after the termination because it only be deactivated for 40 days. If the 40 days cross then your account will be permanently removed. In some countries/ regions, it can be up to 180 days as well.
